Privacy Policy

Channel Radar ("we", "our", "us") is a YouTube channel analytics platform that helps creators and businesses track channel performance, competitor insights, and growth opportunities — accessible at channelradar.in.

• Account information: Your name and email address when you sign up.
• YouTube API data: Publicly available channel statistics, video metadata, and performance metrics fetched via YouTube Data API v3 on your behalf.
• YouTube Analytics data: Daily aggregates of views, watch time (minutes), average view duration, likes, and subscriber gains — fetched via the YouTube Analytics API only if you explicitly grant OAuth access. This data is stored per channel per day and used solely to power your analytics dashboard.
• YouTube API key (BYOK): If you provide your own YouTube Data API key, it is stored encrypted using AES-256-GCM and never exposed outside your account.
• OAuth refresh token: When you authorize YouTube Analytics access, your OAuth refresh token is stored encrypted using AES-256-GCM. It is used only to refresh your access token when fetching analytics data on your behalf and is never shared or logged.
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and sync activity logs — used to improve the product.
• Payment information: We do not store card or banking credentials. We collect UPI transaction reference numbers (UTR) for manual payment verification, used solely to confirm payment and activate your plan.

• To provide and improve the Channel Radar service.
• To sync and display YouTube analytics data in your dashboard.
• To send transactional emails (account creation, plan changes).
• To respond to support requests within 24–48 hours.
• We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

• All data stored in PostgreSQL via Supabase (AWS infrastructure), encrypted at rest and in transit via TLS 1.2+.
• Your YouTube API key and OAuth refresh token are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage. The plaintext values are never written to our database.
• Row-level security (RLS) enforces strict per-user data isolation — no user can access another user's data.
• Analytics cache entries are automatically purged after 48 hours.
• Daily analytics history is retained for up to 3 years, after which older records are deleted.
• Upon account deletion, all your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Channel Radar's use of YouTube API Services (YouTube Data API v3 and YouTube Analytics API) complies with the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Data obtained via the YouTube Analytics API is used solely to display analytics within your own dashboard. It is never shared, sold, or used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the Channel Radar service to you.

You can revoke Channel Radar's access to your YouTube account at any time via your Google Account permissions page. Revoking access stops future data fetches. To also delete your stored analytics data, contact us at support@channelradar.in.

We use session cookies strictly necessary for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP) and general data protection principles, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Disconnect YouTube Analytics: Revoke OAuth access at any time — either from Channel Radar (Settings) or from your Google Account permissions page. This stops all future analytics fetches.
• Export: Download your video data as CSV from the Videos section at any time.

Channel Radar includes AI-powered features that surface growth insights, content opportunities, and performance patterns from your YouTube data. These features are currently in active development and are continuously being trained and improved.

Please note: AI-generated insights and recommendations may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or not reflect real-time conditions. They are intended as directional guidance only — not as definitive analytics or business advice. Always cross-reference with your YouTube Studio data before making important decisions.

We do not use your personal data to train AI models shared across users. Insights are generated based solely on publicly available YouTube metrics associated with your tracked channels.

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Channel Radar after changes constitutes acceptance.
